The Planning & Zoning Commission approved a comprehensive-plan amendment and a zoning change for a parcel at 1319 South Beltline Road, shifting the future land-use designation from open space/drainage to commercial retail/office.
Staff said the parcel, just under one acre and previously part of the City of Irving before a boundary adjustment, will be required to meet commercial zoning standards on future development. "Development review committee recommends approval," staff stated during the presentation. Commissioners had no substantive questions and moved to approve both the CPA and the zoning change together as per DRC recommendations; the motions passed unanimously.
The approvals advance the item to city council for final action.
