During the public comment period of the July 20 meeting, resident Kevin Blakeman raised questions about the Town Animal Control Ordinance, asking about resident safety, dog licensing, rabies vaccinations and the level of enforcement.
The minutes record that the Selectboard “concurred and communicated that they feel the Animal Control Officer is effective and has been working to ensure all previously registered dogs are currently registered,” and that a challenge remains in identifying dogs that have never been registered. Kevin Blakeman left the meeting at 6:58 p.m.
