Committee outlines Aug. 23 basketball tournament to raise funds for NAMI

Richardson said the city will process registration fees and that proceeds, after expenses, are intended for donation to NAMI.
Kiwanis Club will support the event and aims to prepare about 200 book bags for children; organizers also plan to recruit bounce houses and additional family activities. Richardson said he will work with Parks & Rec and partners to finalize registration, waivers and promotional flyers for distribution at the upcoming July 4 events.
