A YMCA representative reported the aquatic center has recorded "a little over 27,000 visits to the aquatic center so far this year," and said the Strong Kids Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 1, with volunteer sign-ups open. The representative summarized current youth programming, noting ongoing T‑ball, coach‑pitch and basketball seasons and recent youth camps at Tom Cloud Park.
The presenter also said teams and youth from surrounding communities — including Dayton, Englewood and Xenia — are participating in tournaments and events, and encouraged board members and residents to volunteer at upcoming activities. The updates were delivered at the start of the board's July meeting as part of the YMCA operations report.
