Youth fishing-challenge winners recognized at Parks board meeting

Parks staff presented the winners of a recent youth fishing selfie contest and recognized Lincoln, Leo, Noah, Genevieve and Callan as prize recipients; organizers described the gear prize package and invited winners and their parents to pose for photos with the board. The contest asked participants to snap a fishing selfie in Highland Village, provide name, age and fishing location, and email submissions to Highland Village Parks.
Several winners addressed the board, thanking organizers and parents for their support. One winner said, "I never thought that this that I would be able to achieve this," and another said they learned about the contest only a few days earlier but were happy to win. Staff encouraged photos and thanked volunteers and parents for participating.
