Huber Heights commission reports record nominations for yard‑beautification program; vote set for July meeting

Chapman emphasized the program’s growth as a sign of success: “Somewhere in the back of my brain, I think last year we were thrilled with 21 nominations,” she said, noting the larger number this year. Commissioners discussed how the voting would work — silent ballots during the July meeting, with staff tallying and the commission breaking any category ties — and agreed to be prepared to vote at the next meeting. The commission also discussed possible program enhancements, including a winter/holiday nomination window, and agreed to continue the yard‑beautification program next year.
