Converse County approves asbestos testing, maintenance and office remodels for county facilities

Getty Babbitt of FDL Consulting reported that the Animal Shelter Expansion Project is on schedule and within budget. The Board reviewed proposals for asbestos testing for the Glenrock Office Renovation Project and accepted the proposal from American Engineering Testing for $5,600.
Commissioners also approved a Cornerstone maintenance proposal for two semi‑annual visits at a cost of $15,130 for fiscal 2026–2027 and approved a K&R Construction quote of $16,238.90 for remodel of the Emergency Management Office. All approvals were recorded as motions carried in the minutes.
