Council authorized the city manager to enter into a subscription agreement with Motorola Solutions for computer‑aided dispatch and other public‑safety software services, waiving competitive bidding. Staff told council the subscription model will allow expansion without large added capital costs and can reduce lifecycle expenses compared with the prior procurement approach.
Council also approved two collective bargaining agreements with the Fraternal Order of Police Ohio Labor Council covering dispatchers and records/tax/secretaries in the police division for 01/01/2026 through 12/31/2028. City staff said these agreements complete current rounds of union negotiations. Motions on both items carried unanimously in recorded votes.
