County authorizes landowner-led improvement of 30th St NW under N.D.C.C.; resident urges county to 'remember the little guys'

State’s Attorney Wade Enget reviewed relevant statutory language during the discussion, distinguishing minimum maintenance rules in N.D.C.C. 24-07-35 and the petition process under N.D.C.C. 24-07-3.1. Lynette Meiers told the Board she was "very disappointed with the County for not helping improve the section line road" and said her family was willing to help pay for gravel, later urging commissioners to "remember the little guys." The Board approved the petition-based improvement option and staff will follow statutory steps for implementing petitioned improvements.
