The board recorded that "Principal Greg Woods was sworn in as interim Superintendent by Dr. Dale Mc Daniels from ESD 113." The district also listed several pending and completed contracts and funding items during the same report: a Special Education contract with Shelton School District is signed while the transportation contract with Shelton and a student nutrition agreement remain pending. Two community members, Kim Tiller and Jeanette DeAndre, addressed the board during audience comments regarding Wieneke's announced plans to retire.
Board Chair Laurie Cox presided over the meeting and the district said the retirement is effective June 30, 2025. The board did not record a formal vote on the retirement announcement; the swearing-in of Greg Woods as interim was performed by the ESD 113 representative on the record.
