Utility Director Darryl Green reported corrosion and related issues affecting the Utility Operations Building at 60 Record Drive and recommended hiring Wold Architects and Engineers to prepare uniform plans and specifications for bidders.
Alderman Donna R. Butler moved to approve $16,000 for planning and engineering costs for Wold Architects and Engineers; Alderman Buel Maness seconded and the motion carried. The engineering work is intended to produce consistent bid specifications so contractors will bid on the same scope of work and to bring the building back to safe condition.
The board did not record changes to the funding source at the meeting; follow‑up will include preparation of bid documents and solicitation of contractors.
