Green stated the match for the grant is $44,686.50, bringing the project's estimated total to $304,442.24. Alderman Mark A. Barber moved to approve Resolution 2024‑010; Alderman Donna R. Butler seconded. A roll call vote recorded Barber, Butler, Maness, Rhodes and Smith voting aye; Michael Phelps was absent. Mayor Terry F. Bell declared Resolution 2024‑010 adopted.
Green told the board the upgrades will improve fire protection and services along the Magic Valley area and replace older, undersized distribution piping that had been limiting flow and hydrant pressure. The board approved the resolution to secure the DRA funds and move the project into design and bidding phases.
