Commissioner Jeff Sieting moved the motion; Commissioner Scott Matley supported it. The motion was recorded as having no opposition.
Parks & Recreation Director Chad Williams said the Fair agreed to clean the east side of the pole barn. Committee discussion noted stored items belong to multiple users including the county and user groups, and that all parties should participate in removal; members discussed dumpster costs and county assistance. The Civic Center was noted as cleaned and available for partial use while staff explore additional storage options.
The committee also discussed longer-term storage alternatives such as enclosing sections of the DPW pole barn or modifying Fair or horse barns to reduce the need for new construction.
