The Mountrail County Commission on April 21 approved the purchase of a new pumper truck for the New Town Fire Department not to exceed $514,987, to be paid from the county’s Fire & Ambulance Fund.
Chris Rohde of the New Town Fire Department presented a quote for the pumper truck. Commissioner motions and roll-call voting were recorded; Commissioners Wayne Olson, Jason Rice, Joan Hollekim and Trudy Ruland voted to approve the purchase while Commissioner John DeGroot abstained. The motion carried.
The purchase was approved during the board’s scheduled appointments at 9:10 A.M. County minutes state the amount and fund source; no additional financing details or vendor name were provided in the meeting record. The county will proceed with procurement consistent with the approved amount and fund restrictions.
