At 9:25 A.M. Treasurer Jessica Niemitalo presented the county’s recommended depositories of public funds under North Dakota Century Code 21-04-13. The board approved Bremer Bank/Old National Bank, Cornerstone Bank, Liberty State Bank and Bravera Bank as official depositories and denied requests from Bell Bank and First International Bank & Trust to be included.
"Moved by Comm. Hollekim, seconded by Comm. Olson, to approve the depositories of public funds in accordance with North Dakota Century Code 21-04-13 for Bremer Bank/Old National Bank, Cornerstone Bank, Liberty State Bank and Bravera Bank and to deny request from Bell Bank & First International Bank & Trust to be included as a depository of public funds for Mountrail County," the minutes record. The motion carried on a roll-call vote with Commissioners Jason Rice, Trudy Ruland, Wayne Olson, John DeGroot and Joan Hollekim recorded as voting yes.
The minutes do not record additional terms or reasons provided by the denied banks; the county auditor and treasurer’s office maintain procurement and banking records for public inspection.
