Carolina Holly, Carolina Maple, Carolina whatever, Carolina Cypress," and suggested the commission could strike or not approve certain names to avoid confusion. Staff clarified that the suffix changes were acceptable and that some names on the packet’s second list were new and had been reserved by Berkeley County pending final approval.
Staff noted developer-submitted names came from the Kearns Crossroads neighborhoods and that county reservations do not guarantee final assignment for a specific neighborhood. After brief discussion and a motion to approve, the commission adopted the proposed list by voice vote.
