MMR says it is short-staffed and planning a northern Manistee County station

Dan Mosholder, operations manager for Manistee/Wexford Mobile Medical Response (MMR), presented service trends and staffing needs. Mosholder said seasonal transfer delays occur during inclement weather, the Manistee supervisor position is vacant and two employees are currently enrolled in paramedic class. MMR is short three full-time paramedics and expects one currently on maternity leave to return in March.
Mosholder said MMR plans in Fiscal Year 2027/28 to build a station in the northern part of Manistee County and that staff are actively looking for suitable property. The committee received the statistics and encouraged continued recruitment and property-search efforts.
