Disciplinary cases rise 22.5% in early 2026, Board hears

Jennifer Lang reported that "between January 24, 2026, and June 19, 2026, the Board received 95 new disciplinary cases, representing a 22.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025." Board member Marshall Pattie asked why complaints had increased; Lang said staff could not identify a single cause but suggested increased public awareness of the reporting process may be a contributing factor.
The Board recorded the trend for oversight and did not vote on any discipline-policy changes at the meeting.
