The Plan Commission voted July 28 to adopt a text amendment allowing indoor and outdoor recreational entertainment facilities as a conditional use in the M1 and M2 zoning districts.
"Text amendment allowing recreational entertainment facilities in the low and medium intensity, and have manufactured zones as conditional use," the staff summary noted during the hearing; the Commission, on a motion and second, carried the recommendation as drafted by the city attorney. The public hearing was opened and closed with no members of the public speaking.
Commissioners discussed the ordinance language as provided by city staff and the city attorney; no formal amendments were proposed on the floor. The action was taken as the Commission followed the city attorney's recommended draft and then recorded the motion as carried.
The ordinance language will proceed according to local adoption procedures; the Commission recorded the vote as "motion carries."
