Evanston said the "total estimated project cost is $832,900," and that the financing package is favorable, with roughly 80–85% of the financing expected to be forgiven or carry no interest and the remainder at a standard rate.
The commission then awarded the construction contract to Majors Enterprises as the lowest and best bidder for an amount not to exceed $747,053. Staff noted the work is being coordinated with future paving schedules and that the project will be followed by standard construction and restoration processes.
