Health department remodel on track; commissioner Beck to replace Helmer on health board

Assistant Administrator Brian Williams told the Putnam County commissioners on June 15 that the health department remodel is progressing on schedule and that staff are "on track for being in the building beginning of August." The update was presented as informational and did not include a budget or firm move-in date beyond the early-August target.
Separately, commissioners said Tom Helmer will no longer serve on the Health Board and that Commissioner Andy Beck will take his seat; the change is connected in the minutes to Helmer taking Beck's previous position on the 911 advisory board. The minutes record the appointment change as a board action but do not show a formal motion or recorded vote for the personnel adjustment.
Staff indicated they will continue to update the board as the remodel and occupancy schedule progress.
