The Traill County Water Resource District opened its April 7 meeting in Hillsboro and approved the agenda as amended, the minutes of March 17 and March 31, payment of bills and electronic fund transfers, and the March bank statements and general journal entries — all by roll call vote and unanimously.
Chairman Jason Siegert reminded applicant Neil Breidenbach that the Board expects him to obtain Buxton Township consent and landowner approvals for Surface Drain Permit No. 6710; the Board said it will monitor his compliance. The Board also reviewed the Solicitation of Views for Surface Drain Permit Application No. 6858 (Herberg Township Road Drain) and indicated it has no comment. The Board scheduled a special meeting for May 1, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. to open ballots related to Roseville Drain No. 19 and Secretary-Treasurer Jessica Spaeth will proceed with the 2027–2029 Water Development Plan as previously discussed.
There were no updates on the Koenig lawsuit from 2017–2018. The meeting adjourned at 9:20 a.m. and Chair Jason Siegert and Secretary-Treasurer Jessica Spaeth signed the minutes.
