Chisago County Commissioner Marlys Dunne briefed the LID board April 6 that upgrades are planned for the Government Center, Public Works building, Sheriff's Office and Health & Human Services buildings. Dunne said a new Health & Human Services director is expected to begin May 1.
Dunne also reported that the County Finance Director has given notice and that county administration and the union will attempt one final mediation session to avoid a labor strike. She told the board the county will soon begin recording Board of Commissioners meetings. The county report was delivered during the meeting's regular county-commissioner update and no formal board action was recorded on those items during the LID meeting.
