Program population, community sentencing and supervision reports show modest increases; one absconder reported
Summary
Staff reported 68 participants (council target 100) while probation staff reported 69 and one absconder; Community Sentencing referrals and LSI orders rose modestly in the quarter (8 referrals, 14 LSIs).
Council staff and justice partners reported that program caseloads are below the council's target but have edged upward. Debbie Cox reported 68 individuals in the program and said the council typically aims for about 100 participants. DOC Probation Officer Michael Ramsbacher reported 69 in the program and said there is currently one absconder; he also said staff had located 11 former participants.
Assistant District Attorney Jarrod Cooper presented Community Sentencing activity for January through March 2025: referrals of 3 in January, 1 in February and 4 in March for a quarterly total of 8. He also reported that LSIs (Level of Service inventories) ordered in the quarter were 6 in January, 4 in February and 4 in March, for a total of 14. Council members did not take additional action beyond receiving the reports.
