County re-opens and receives multiple bids for county projects, including ARPA-funded Fairgrounds AV and chip spreader purchase

At the March 24 meeting Purchasing Agent Keri Lyles opened a series of bids and the board instructed Purchasing to tabulate and qualify the offers before returning with recommendations. FB-2137 (audio-visual for the Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall) drew three bids—Cory’s Audio-Visual ($269,757.71), All Media Integration ($330,670.00) and Ford Audio-Visual ($342,150.71)—and was noted as partially paid with ARPA funds under Project #1.007, Object Code 54802.
Other bid openings included CC-2138 (County Clerk breakroom remodel) and COM3-2139 for a hydrostatically driven 4WD chip spreader for District 3 (G. W. Van Keppel Co. submitted a $430,000 bid with a proposed May 1, 2025 delivery). The six-month materials contract HWY-2142 (road oils, emulsions and sealants) was opened and will be tabulated for award. The board unanimously accepted the bids for receipt and postponed award decisions pending Purchasing’s formal tabulation and qualification work.
