Josh Hinkle was appointed chairman of the Cleveland County Community Corrections Planning Council after a unanimous vote at the council's regular meeting on April 8, 2025. Gary Gage moved to appoint Hinkle and Sheriff Chris Amason seconded; the motion carried with all recorded members voting yes.
Acting Chairman Judge Jeff Virgin had called the meeting to order and County Clerk Pam Howlett conducted roll call before the appointment was made. The council also recorded the District Attorney's office designation of Darlene Carbitcher as its representative to the council and circulated Ms. Carbitcher's contact information.
