Residents press council for park upgrades, goat‑head removal and safe walking routes

"If grass catches fire, it will spread to the trees," Sherwood warned, linking vegetation and maintenance to fire risk and recommending targeted improvements—including donated seed from retailers and volunteer assistance—to reduce hazards. Council and staff acknowledged maintenance limits for CDBG funding and suggested some improvements could be handled through town maintenance or private donations, while larger drainage, paving or park construction projects could be candidates for SSP or CDBG if designs and environmental reviews are in place.
