Presenter summarized the administrative portion of the proposed fiscal year 2027 budget and said the net change is largely tied to a planned land purchase next to City Hall. "We're showing about a 369,000, increase from fiscal year 26, and that increase is mainly attributable to the land acquisition," the Presenter said.
The Presenter broke down associated costs for the parcel, noting land taxes are "approximately a little over 12,000," and surveying has come out to around $10,000. The FY27 request also includes land improvements such as a new parking lot and an underground utility. Board members agreed to review itemized figures before final approval and signaled a willingness to revisit personnel or position changes if upcoming needs emerge.
