O'Brien County board rejects previous DD5 repair quotes, sets new bidding schedule

The O'Brien County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously March 18 to reject earlier quotes for repair work on DD5 and open a new competitive process. "Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by McDowell to reject DD5 repair quotes reviewed and received prior to March 11, 2025," the minutes record.
The board directed county staff to accept new quotes by 9:00 a.m. on April 8, 2025, for work required to be completed by Dec. 1, 2025. Separately, the board set a review of pipe culvert quotes for April 8 at 9:15 a.m., with all quotes due by 12:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2025. The motions carried by all ayes.
