Naylor said the Trust currently provides benefits to 30 of Oklahoma's 77 municipalities and told the committee, "The plan could save the county $265,000 per year on health coverage alone," while also extending savings to spouse and dependent coverage.
Naylor described a suite of benefits the Trust offers, including free major medical coverage for procedures such as transplants and cancer care, free diabetic control programs, free diagnostic imaging (CAT scans and MRIs) and both short- and long-term disability and life insurance options. He also said the Trust administers FSAs and HSAs, supports employee plan customization (high-deductible and basic plans), and uses a large provider network (the Blue Cross Advantage Network) to negotiate discounts. Naylor cited incentives such as a $250 deductible reduction for employees who complete health checkups and a Member Rewards Program. Chairman Rod Cleveland said the committee would review the materials and follow up at a later date; no vote or formal commitment was recorded.
