The Ozaukee County Natural Resources Committee voted unanimously March 6 to approve submission and acceptance of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) Soil and Water Resource Management Grant for calendar year 2026.
Vice-Chairperson B. Ross moved the motion, which Supervisor K. Schoessow seconded. The committee's vote tally listed Chairperson R. Holyoke and Supervisors B. Jobs and T. Matera as ayes. The committee did not attach conditions to the approval and recorded the result as approved unanimously. "Motion to approve the submittal and acceptance of WI DATCP Soil and Water Resource Management Grant for calendar year 2026," the minutes state.
The grant supports county conservation work carried out by the Land & Water Management Department. Land & Water Management Director Vogeler discussed departmental goals and related program needs during the meeting; the committee also reviewed the department's monthly report earlier in the agenda. The committee forwarded no additional actions beyond approving submission and acceptance.
