Floyd County sets maximum levy, moves ahead with FY27 budget reviews

On Feb. 24, 2026 the Floyd County Board of Supervisors voted 3-0 (Campbell/Rottinghaus) to set the county's maximum proposed property tax levy and to hold a public hearing at 9 a.m. on March 24 in the courthouse boardroom. The motion was recorded by the board and will be part of the formal budget process.
During the same meeting the board conducted FY27 budget reviews, examining departmental adjustment requests and fund balances to evaluate levy-rate options ahead of the hearing. Board members indicated formal budget action will follow after the public hearing and additional staff analyses.
