The Nobles County Board approved the proposed 2025 ditch maintenance assessments for the county’s 38 ditch systems at its March 4 meeting.

Separately, the Board approved sending a letter of support to the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) for its Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) application. Staff said BWSR's selection would allow continued state-funded grants for water storage and water quality projects without near-term federal funding fluctuations. The county noted an existing water storage planning grant for Judicial Ditch (JD) 4 and an intention to apply for a corresponding construction grant next year.
