County staff to continue salary study review; department‑head review to be considered Feb. 11

County Administrator Mark Humbert told the committee that the board reviewed a draft of the salary study at a recent Committee of the Whole but that a few areas still require additional work. He said another Committee of the Whole meeting is scheduled for Feb. 11 to continue review and ensure supervisors are comfortable with proposed results.
Superintendent Kevin Rooney asked whether department heads would be able to review results for their staff before implementation; Humbert said there is currently no intention to bring results back to department heads, but the committee agreed to raise Rooney’s recommendation with the full Board on Feb. 11. Humbert noted negotiations with bargaining units are being scheduled and that ultimate progress will depend on union processes.
