One commissioner said, "Patrick Waterman is the best man for this job," and several commissioners emphasized his long municipal record and that they were not aware of any formal complaints while he served in prior positions.
The meeting record shows the allegation and the defenses were voiced in public comment and during commissioner remarks; the board did not attempt to adjudicate or investigate the emailed claims at the meeting.
