Ted Dyment, Director of Weights and Measures, reported that he spent January conducting inspections at local hardware stores and pharmacies and that he filed his annual report for committee review.
When asked by Supervisor Ben Aman whether overpricing occurs intentionally, Dyment said he does not believe it is malicious and that the discrepancies he has encountered appear to be honest mistakes. The committee discussed recent news coverage mentioning Dollar General in relation to overpricing concerns.
