Emergency Management Director George Bastedo told the committee that Wayne County has been reaccredited as a StormReady community. He also said a kickoff meeting was held with the Canal Corporation to begin GIS map interfacing; GIS Manager Zakk Hess will be heavily involved and the Canal Corporation will open GIS layers related to canal trails and other assets for county use.
Bastedo also reported that a recent snowstorm resulted in issuance of a state of emergency. The committee approved an out-of-state travel request for Aimee Phillips 5-0.
