On April 16, the Salem Township Board adopted Ordinance 1-2025 amending the township Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance to provide for charging and escrow of professional consultant fees, revise certain subdivision definitions, and authorize the Planning Commission to propose submission rules. The adoption passed unanimously.
The board also approved Resolution 11-2025 to revise fees for filing and review of subdivisions and land developments, listing specific application and escrow amounts (examples include a minor subdivision filing fee of $300 and land development filing fee of $1,000 plus escrow). Supervisors approved sewage facilities planning modules for the Bash Subdivision & Frye lot-line revision (Resolution 8-2025) and for the Sauer property at 197 Congruity Road (Resolution 9-2025).
Officials said the fee changes and ordinance amendments clarify consultant escrow and inspection fee processes and will apply to future land-development applications. Motions were unanimous on the recorded votes.
