The Lake Hallie Village Board voted at 5:03 p.m. March 19 to convene a closed session under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c) to consider "employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility." Mr. Hudson made the motion, Mr. Berg seconded, and the motion "carried on unanimous voice vote by members present."
Closed sessions under Wis. Stat. 19.85(1)(c) are commonly used to discuss personnel matters out of public view; the board's agenda cited Chapter 19.84 and 19.85(1)(c) of the Wisconsin State Statutes. At the time of the motion four members were recorded present. The meeting minutes show the board later reconvened to open session and announced that no action was taken in closed session.
