Clermont County to advertise RFP for microwave backhaul network for public safety

The Clermont County Board of Commissioners voted on Oct. 15 to advertise a Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals for a Microwave Backhaul Network intended to support county public safety communications.
Jessica Wiederhold, Director of Clermont County Public Safety Services, told the Board the project "was presented back in the Spring" and the Board approved publishing a legal notice with proposals to be received until 2:00 P.M. local time on Dec. 22, 2025. The notice will be published in a newspaper of general circulation for two consecutive weeks beginning Oct. 23, 2025, and distributed electronically and posted on the county website as authorized by Ohio Revised Code procedures. The advertisement follows statutory procurement rules cited by staff (R.C. 307.862).
