Commission approves Commercial Properties LLC conditional use for Building #1; restaurant plans flagged for sanitary review

The Lake Hallie Plan Commission on March 10 approved conditional use petition 2025-0003 from Commercial Properties LLC to allow development of Building #1 in the industrial district. Commissioners recorded that Building #1 is planned to include a restaurant and that any additional restaurant use within Building #1 would require separate review of sanitation and drainage plans.
Mr. Volk moved to approve 2025-0003 for Building #1 only; Mr. Pfeifer seconded, and the motion passed by voice vote. The commission explicitly excluded Buildings #2 and #3 from this approval and said those structures, if developed later, will need to comply with any future zoning updates. Commissioners also noted that existing freestanding signs may impact other sign locations on the property.
