Lake Hallie public works reports DNR approval for chlorine totes and staff training

Public works staff reported several operational updates at the Feb. 17 meeting. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources approved using 65-gallon totes for chlorine at well houses 4 and 5; staff said they are working with Hawkins Chemical to identify a compatible scale or containment solution for well house 2. Badger Metering conducted training on Feb. 28 and staff member Scott is registered for wastewater and sanitary collection certification and will attend the Wisconsin Rural Water Association (WRWA) conference in March.
Roads and equipment updates included installation of a new flatbed on truck 13 by Wisconsin Body & Hoist, completion of CDL training and road test by Scott, and installation of a brush head on the John Deere tractor to begin brush work around the village. The board recorded these operational updates without a separate vote.
