The board voted on a motion by Trustee Berg, seconded by Trustee Hudson, and the motion carried by unanimous voice vote of members present.
Village President Spilde presented the proposal on behalf of Shawn Nyhus, describing the plan as a move to four 10-hour shifts (6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.) for most staff. For employees assigned to weekend coverage the proposal specifies work hours of 6:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 6:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. on Fridays. Trustee Berg asked for an itemized workload tied to the proposed start time of 6:00 a.m. before full implementation. The board approved the schedule and directed staff to follow up with the requested workload details.
