Becky Maruca appointed tax collector; deputy appointment tabled after resident questions

Separately, the board appointed Maruca to collect township real property taxes with compensation set at 4% of the first $300,000 collected and 2% on amounts beyond $300,000 for 2025.
A motion to appoint Marcy Montepart as deputy tax collector was tabled after resident Debbie Perino asked why Maruca's son Jesse had filled in during Maruca's illness rather than an officially appointed deputy. Supervisor Kerry Jobe said deputies require judiciary and bonding requirements and the matter will be discussed further with Maruca. Both primary tax collector motions passed unanimously.
