Council moves Planning Commission changes, approves Sage subdivision amendment
Summary
In earlier minutes attached to the Oct. 16 packet, the council approved consolidating lots 4 and 5 in the Sage subdivision and reallocated Planning Commission seats (John Henderson moved from alternate to regular; Brent Ahlstrom appointed alternate). The council debated the role and process for alternates and asked for clearer ordinance language.
Attachment #1 to the Oct. 16 minutes reproduces the Oct. 2 council meeting where the Town approved a Sage subdivision amendment consolidating lots 4 and 5. Taylor Alvarez presented the amendment on behalf of Sage; the council approved the consolidation by roll-call vote, recorded as 4–0.
That earlier meeting also considered Planning Commission appointments. After discussion about whether alternates should automatically become regular members, the council moved John Henderson from alternate to regular member and appointed Brent Ahlstrom as an alternate temporarily; motions passed with recorded votes (motions included roll-call tallies recorded in the attachment). Councilmembers asked the clerk to review the ordinance to clarify whether alternates automatically move to regular seats in future ordinances to avoid repeated ambiguity.
