After discussion of multiple near-misses at the intersection of 7500 E. and 200 S., the Huntsville Town Council voted to install a 4-way stop at that location.
Councilmember Sandy Hunter said the change would help slow drivers on 200 S., noting, “It would slow people down who were driving too fast on 200 S.” Mayor Sorensen moved for approval and the motion passed with all votes in favor. Staff will schedule sign installation and update intersection markings.
The decision reflects council interest in low-cost engineering changes to reduce speeding and improve safety near homes and town facilities.
