City accepts donation from Art Farm for park signs and small shelters

The Chattahoochee Hills City Council voted unanimously to accept a donation of park signage and a small shelter from the Art Farm at Serendby Environmental Council.
Thomas Peters, representing the nonprofit, said the donation includes 3x4-foot printed signs and a pressure-treated lumber structure for Hutchinson Ferry Park, benches and updated signage for Cochrane Mill Park. Peters said the organization sees the parks as a partnership opportunity and offered to extend the concept to other parks in coordination with other land trusts working on signage.
Council thanked the Art Farm and adopted the acceptance motion (24-048) by voice vote; staff will coordinate installation and include the donated items in the parks program for 2025 planning.
