The Chattahoochee Hills City Council unanimously adopted an updated trail map for Cochran Mill Park at its Sept. 5 meeting.
Roland, a parks volunteer, described the map changes: numbered GPS waypoints now align with signposts in the park and the map includes a QR code linking to a web-based map so visitors can access the trail layout on phones. The changes will help emergency responders and guests who get lost, Roland said. The council moved and seconded the measure (24-047) and adopted it by voice vote.
The new map will be hosted online and the physical poster-style sign will be installed at the park; staff and volunteers on the Park Commission will coordinate placement and online hosting.
