Students thank board; district highlights closing achievement gaps

The board heard expressions of thanks from student groups at the Jan. 23 meeting. The SHS cheer squad performed a cheer and middle and elementary students provided a banner and creative contributions to thank board members for their service.
Superintendent Ingrid Colvard presented a congratulatory banner sent by the State Board of Education recognizing WRMS for closing achievement gaps in the 2021–2022 school year. Board members received the student-created items and the banner as recognition of district efforts.
