Bacon identified concerns with the applicant’s "pack in/pack out" garbage plan, potential health risks from unmanaged waste, generator noise, access along the approach road and the safety of proposed fire rings. She also questioned whether 17 sites fit the zoning’s definition of low density.
Supporters at the public hearing—neighbor Andrea Willby and commenter Dave Cox—urged the commission to look for conditions that could allow the project to work. Commissioners and staff said they needed a detailed site plan and clarification on sanitation, water/sewer and emergency access before any favorable action; the commission voted to continue the hearing to March and directed staff to obtain the missing materials.
